Our federal government is wasteful, inefficient, and delivers far too little for what it spends. Our national debtsoared to more than $11.4 trillion in 2009, with federal expenditures nearly twice that of tax receipts. This is unsustainable, it is reckless and it jeopardizes our future. Too many people running for office are either career politicians, or people who want to be career politicians. We need someone who is focused on cleaning up government, ending corruption, and stopping wasteful spending. We don’t need more career politicians We need public servants who respect the special trust which we place in them. We need leaders who can set priorities and restore fiscal strength to America’s balance sheet. This will only happen if we send people to Washington who understand how to get this done and are committed to doing it.
I am running for the US Senate from New Hampshire in 2010 to accomplish three objectives:
- To dramatically reduce bloated federal spending, and our federal deficit.
- To simplify government regulation and compliance requirements, starting with the federal tax code.
- To expand the 22nd amendment to include strict Congressional term limits.
