Jim Bender, Republican candidate for US Senate, signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge today at the State House in Concord. The measure, by the Americans for Tax Reform, allows candidates running for office to take an oath to oppose any and all tax increases. Jim was joined by Ed Naile from the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers and Stephen Stepanek of the Granite State Taxpayers Association.
"I am proud to sign this tax pledge today,"said Bender. "Our government need not ask more of the taxpayers. They need to ask more of themselves. Washington demonstrates a chronic lack of care for American taxpayers. We have a culture of reckless and wasteful spending. I pledge to find solutions to our spending problems, and none of those solutions will be a tax increase of any kind."
