The Bender for Senate campaign announced the hiring today of Tammy Simmons as Field Director and Christine Baratta as Communications Director. Karen Byron has been promoted to Director of Administration & Scheduling.
Simmons, a Manchester, New Hampshire activist who helped run two successful mayoral campaigns for Mayor Frank Guinta, served as the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Advantage Coalition and coordinated signature efforts to get the spending cap initiative on the ballot in Manchester. Tammy also ran the campaign for the first Republican alderman ever elected in the history of that Manchester ward.
Simmons said today, “I am thrilled to be working for the best candidate that would represent the people of New Hampshire.”
Baratta, a broadcast news producer for over 10 years, covered the 2008 New Hampshire Primary and Presidential Election for Bloomberg News. Christine has been a producer at several radio stations in Boston and brings experience not only in local politics but on a national level including Congressional and business news.
“I am so excited to be back in New Hampshire.” Baratta said today. “I am eager to start work on the campaign by helping to spread the message to the voters what an excellent Senator Jim will be.”
Karen Byron stated, "I've been with this campaign since the beginning, and I've seen the growth first-hand. Jim is creating a movement; we're going to win in September and November, because everyone who meets Jim learns that he is a genuine man with a lot of common sense solutions to America's problems."
Jim Bender added, “I am pleased to welcome both Tammy and Christine to the team. They join an already terrific group of people here and I look forward to watching the organization continue to blossom.”
