Letter to NH voters

America is at a critical point, and the elections this fall will determine whether our federal government continues down an unsustainable path or begins to behave more responsibly. As I have traveled New Hampshire talking to voters over the past eight months, I realize all of the other candidates are also talking about government overspending and taxes. It is one thing to be able to” talk”, and another to be able to “do”, and this is what makes me a better and more qualified candidate.
I’m the only Senate candidate who is a turnaround specialist, with extensive experience in fixing broken, dysfunctional organizations. I've created hundreds of jobs in New Hampshire and hundreds more in New England and beyond. I know how government is destroying jobs by the millions with the decisions that are being made in Washington. I also know how to help fix this, and I will take these skills to Washington to serve the public, and I’ll look forward to coming home.
I’m not a politician, and I will not become a career politician, but I do understand how Washington works. In my business career, some of my companies developed products and technologies for our national defense, requiring me to get a top-secret clearance. I have worked in and around Capitol Hill for decades, watching Washington become bloated, and I have developed a perspective of how our government has reached such heights of fiscal irresponsibility and corruption.
I want to reach out to all the voters of New Hampshire, and I’m prepared to advance our conservative, free-market values. Too often, our Republican candidates fail in communicating why our message of small government yields the best outcomes for all people. Our ideas have consistently produced prosperity and independence. Democrats produce entitlement and dependence. I can clearly articulate these differences, and will help other Republicans win in November.
I want to make sure that New Hampshire has a Senator who will oppose Supreme Court justices like Sonia Sotomayor. Unlike our current Senators and some of my opponents, you have my commitment to oppose activist judges to the fullest extent. It is impossible to call yourself conservative and yet support Supreme Court justices who legislate from the bench, and who believe the Constitution is subordinate to their own sense of justice, or their own “empathy.”
The people of New Hampshire will always come first with me, and I am in this race for the right reasons. I have numerous credible character references for the position I’m seeking. I’m the only candidate with 100 friends, neighbors, colleagues, former employees/ employers on video speaking about my character, attributes, and talents. Most have known me for decades. You can see a” highlight reel” on the homepage of my website, www.benderforsenate.com”.
Beth Lindstrom, architect of Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts, has recently joined the team as our Campaign Manager. We’ve also recently opened our campaign office in my hometown of Hollis, and you are welcome to visit with us anytime you can. Our campaign has momentum, and we are attracting new volunteers to our campaign every day.
If you are leaning toward one or another of my opponents, I would like you to give me a fresh look. I’m not saying what I think the voters want to hear; I’m speaking truth, and you can always trust me to do what is right. Just as I have been a guardian for shareholders, I’ll be a guardian of America, our national treasury, our national security, our liberty, and New Hampshire taxpayer dollars.
